interesting. I must admit I am not still totally happy with the latest firmware in terms of SQ with upnp.. I find Tidal Connect is usually preferable - and that is despite the LUFS processing …
So I might look at BubbleSoft again as an experiment.

I have friends who use Audirvana Studio with very good results.
That’s exactly what I do with my current 272.
It’s free so why not try.

I might give it another go some time. Unfortunately Bubble stopped working on Synology some time ago after a DSM update and I never got round to finding another way to run it.
There’s a docker container for it now on DSM 7.
Takes about 3 minutes to install docker (now branded Synology Container Manager) and then download container.
I know because I tried Bubble again after upgrade to DSM 7 over the holidays! Couldn’t find a great control point client for iOS though, the Linn App worked for NAS content, but I was logged into Tidal and tracks would hit NDX2 (artwork/app show track) but playback wouldn’t start stuck at 00:00. So I gave up.
I read numerous reports online from people who had unsuccessfully tried the docker option, so I never bothered with it. The Linn app I found to be the best for controlling it previously, and it worked well with UPnP and Qobuz.
On DSM 7 it works perfectly. Install container manager, download (after searching by name) BubbleuPNP then start container remembering to use host networking. Fires straight up.
Linn App I couldn’t get to send Tidal correctly. Linn and Lumin apps work perfectly with local media servers.
