I think they have improved output transistors that don’t require the protection circuit that’s in the SN2. This doubled the slew rate (and speed) of the amplifier.
It sounds like a great amplifier. I heard the SN3 at my local dealer’s just recently with ND5 XS 2 at he front and Neat Ekstra at the back - for me this system sounded very sweet indeed.
When are you taking the plunge?
Exactly right. The SN3 may be a bit faster but nowhere near night and day over SN2.
Very interesting. I am intrigued to hear Ekstras with my NDX2 and SN3.
Fortunately, there are no SN3’s available to demo in New Zealand.
Oh not just yet Mike, i’m too busy enjoying my recently acquired ND5 XS 2 - NAIT XS 2 - Neat Motive SX2 speakers at the moment. I’m loving this system. I do have a plan or 2 for next year however…
That’ll be a great system. Even with a ND5 XS 2 at the helm I could here it was special. The SN3 seemed to drive the Ekstras beautifully and with a confident ease too.
