Already commissioned apparently
Where is “ A Perfect Spy” available please.
iPlayer
You surprise me. Interestingly the Times and the Groan both gave it 5 stars so what do I know?
I found it on Amazon, around £3.50 for 7 episodes. First is a bit slow but after that it really takes off
A Telegraph review gives it 2/5, and it’s certainly got a Marmite vibe. I agree with you - IMV, far too much style over substance, only partially redeemed by HL’s performance. Much of the rest was laughable, and very untidy.
It was on BBC iPlayer - easy to find with a quick search.
The Welsh detective series on Now TV, under salt marsh, seems promising.
Thanks John
Yes - excellent film. very emotional towards the end.
We will watch that. On the trailer, there is a salmon coloured house in a terraced row. It is a holiday rental that we have stayed in three or four times over the years. In Abberfraw on Anglesey. Recognised it immediately. Nice place .
Just finished this last night I can’t recommend this enough - absolutely superb and so much better than the film
HungryHalibut, I agree with you that it’s better to stop after season 1. It was so childish. And just plain boring. Let’s hope they stop it.
They haven’t.
I watched the first 20 minutes setup of the first programme and just thought it was an unconvincing rip off of Slow Horses.
Didn’t bother past that.
I love a good heist … I hope that this one has a good twist or two.
Steal on Prime
Enjoying Wonder Man on Disney +
not fussed about Marvel stuff but this is curiously interesting as is Sir Ben Kingsley using Ringo Star accent.
8 episodes of 35 minutes and so far more enjoyable than the Night Manager.
I agree that they could have left it at the first series - that was very good. This one is lesser - but I still enjoyed it.
Have to agree with a few above, Night Manager certainly wasn’t worth the 10 year wait. A confusing and boring storyline.
On a positive got to watch 1971 The Year That Changed Music on Apple+, I’m sure most have seen it but well worth watching.
Any one else looking forward to the new Mackenzie Crook comedy Small Prophets which starts this Monday on BBC2 ?
If it’s half as good as Detectorists then we could be in for a bit of a treat
