@frenchrooster,..Well I know the Swedish crime series with Eva Röse as Maria Wern.
It is recorded on the island of Gotland.
Otherwise,.I think crime series from Denmark and Norway are good.
This is Eva Röse who play Maria Wern.

There are quite a few very good foreign language (to those of us in the UK) ‘crime’ series available on TV these days.
I have just finished watching the Austrian/German collaboration - ‘Der Pass’. This was loosely based on the original Danish/Swedish series ‘The Bridge’ (and the follow up French/UK ‘The Tunnel’), but with a few orginal twists.
Well worth watching if it is available in your region.
Something that certainly falls into the category of ‘Interesting’, but also disturbing TV.
I recently spent quite a bit of time in China. For quite a bit of the time I had access to BBC TV News and the Internet via a VPN. However, when I stayed in Xi’an for a week or so, I had no Wi-fi access, and the Television in my hotel room had access to only a single English speaking channel - the Russian RT channel. The channel is obviously intended for viewers from the UK, because it primarily covered issues relating to the UK.
It was interesting to hear another perspective on events in the UK. However, it was also extremely disturbing in that although coverage of events in the UK and of matters relating to the relationship between the UK and the Russian State, or clips from British news channels were normally covered in a fairly straightforward manner, they were then subject to a commentary and a obviously biased (sometimes subtly so and sometimes not) analysis by an English speaking TV host. The analysis by the hosts almost always include one or two comments that were blatantly (and deliberately in my view) ‘inaccurate’, and often accompanied by sarcasm.
I saw many adverts for Alex Salmond’s show on the RT channel, but unfortunately didn’t manage to catch any of his shows. What I did see however, has led me to view his agreement to host a show on the channel to be both naïve and regretable.
Just caught up on The Capture on BBC. Entertaining and with the rather wonderful Holliday Grainger.
Snackmasters ch 4.
Two celebrity chefs compete to perfectly replicate popular snacks and confections without knowing the trade secrets.
Love this show. Tonight they’re doing Pickled Onion Monster Munch.
Just scrolling through Netflix and reminded of one of my favourites - Misaeng. Korean office drama series about climbing the corporate ladder. Fascinating insight into another culture - and haven’t found any other Korean stuff as good. A great and quite absorbing series. I really enjoyed it but my wife thought the underdog thing a bit tedious - but that’s a large part of the story. There’s just one season on at the moment but I think there was another season originally
Motherland is back. Consumed 6 episodes in one sitting. Tremendous.
‘Succession’ gets better and better. Tom being grilled by the Senate about ‘Mo’ is just brilliant.

It was funny to watch but I’m still struggling with Matthew Macfayden’s casting as Tom…and whatever accent he’s trying!
For me, Brian Cox’s acting & screen presence is on another level to the rest of the cast.
Each week, it’s a treasured episode of dysfunctionality.
Happy to see The Capture not go down the cutesy happy ending route…
An excellent, well structured offering from The Beeb, and, as you say, a fitting conclusion.
Ozark, great. The first 2 seasons are brilliant.

Sorry - can’t stand watching that kind of video. Just really loved the story of Gue-Rae. I think my wife found it a bit slow - it’s certainly quite a good absorbing long view
have you found something interesting on netflix? i had one month netflix last year and found only Ozark very interesting to see. I read that it should return the 10 october. But don’t know for France.
Now watching the Dark, but for now not captivated.
Just started watching this last week. Already into season 2!
i wanted to see what was about the movie you posted and just found on this…
I hope you found it interesting but I have a very low tolerance threshold for amateur broadcasting ![]()
No worries ![]()
Very much enjoyed your home made perfect on bbc2 tonight. 2 architects competing to design a house to a client’s brief. Extensive use of virtual reality and incredible what these guys can do with a space. Am currently renovating a house and wish they were here to help me knock a few walls down !
