All stations here in Sussex UK, seem to be down Unable to tune into anything on both my NDX2 and Uniti Atom 2 . Both have the latest software downloaded and I assume I’m no longer using the V-Tuner, as I had to re-set all my radio station pre-sets after the last software update. However the internet is working ok for BBC TV streaming and my Amazon Alexa is still playing internet radio ok. I thought we had said goodbye to internet radio outages with the the new system replacing V Tuner.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Hi Dave,
We have issues with VTuner at the moment, but the new radio service is running fine.
Typically the fault you describe is because old VTuner presets are still stored. In the app it shows a warning sign against each one of them and a message saying to resave the presets.
Suggest browse or search the directory, pick the stations so they play and then re-save the presets.
Best
Steve
Thanks alot. I will try again.
Thank you, so I guess there is hope.
Hi
Hopefully won’t be down long for those waiting for software updates (qb1 and NDS)?
There’s no internet radio on my 1st gen mu-so or qb, no directory etc either. Started this morning Feb 1st.
Can I do something else than just hope and wait?
What are Naim’s long term plans for internet radio for the many people who have “legacy” products?
I understand they are working on a software update for the legacy units but it has been a while.
See my post above. Naim have been working on Naim Internet radio, which is already released for current products and will very soon be ready for legacy ones.
Oh gawd our nd5xs2 the same now, no IR
Martin
Your ND5XS2 should be fine Martin. Make sure your firmware is up to date as that includes the new Naim Internet Radio service. You should then remove your Vtuner presets and then use the Naim Internet Radio service instead.
My workaround for radio on our Muso QB1 is to use multi-room from the QB2 or Atom.
I find the new Naim Internet Radio service is very good and look forward to it being rolled out to the QB1.
Roger
Any news on this? My Uniti and Qute have stopped all iRadio. I can’t pick up any channels at all.
See my post above. Naim have been working on Naim Internet radio, which is already released for current products and will very soon be ready for legacy ones. I’m told Naim will be making an announcement on Monday. In the meantime you could try a few workarounds such as the multi-room mentioned above, or by casting to your device or connecting to it via another device with access to internet radio.
I’m also getting this problem for my 1st gen Qb but also no radio stations are showing in my app either. (I only have the one Naim product on it).
Yes, original Gen1 Mu-Sos use Vtuner, so are affected by their service outage. Such outages are very annoying for users hence why Naim have been putting so much effort into bringing their own Internet Radio Service into play. It’s already here for current products and should be available very soon for legacy ones (FWIW, I was told it has been somewhat tricker with the older kit that was never designed for the new service and with limited onboard resource).
Ah cheers sir
Martin
Thanks Richard. Such a shame, I use both my devices every day to listen to Radio 6 and Radio Paradise.
