Internet radio not working

Glad I checked our forum. I’ve been at a loss since yesterday (Friday) trying to work out why I have no internet radio at all on my Muso Gen 1. Tried re-setting the Muso, checking the ethernet cable to the router, and the router itself. All good. Never thought it’d be an outage by Naim…

Thank you

Fortunately you can listen to Radio Paradise on your Naim via bluetooth. Would be lost with RP!

There are a number of ways you can work around the Vtuner outage, mainly by using another device such as a computer, iPhone, iPad etc… for the radio source and then connecting either directly or via Bluetooth to your old gen Naim device, as members here have posted. I’m no expert here though, so perhaps members could post up here the various ways that they have been able to send internet radio to their devices, so as to help others looking to do the same.

Same issue in Toronto. I removed all of the previously saved radio stations, searched for them again, added them. Tedious, but it has solved the issue for me.

Richard iirc only the last of the old uniti streamers had bluetooth, perhaps those from the last year or so of production, likely the majority don’t, my UQ2 and SU don’t, (although I did have one SU that did).
iPads and iPhones do i think work via the usb ports.

Also worth mentioning that all have digital s/pdif inputs. Or even good old analogue…

With your vast collection of ‘kit’, any connections these days require a plethora of different cables. I imagine you have a “huge” collection of said cables.
Good advice; the thought of you having to rummage thru’ so many cables…… !!!

Same here in Belgium, some preset radiostations work, others fail to connect.

No internet radiostation list is available

(using Uniti1 with latest firmware and upgraded streaming board; still depending on VTuner and no access to radio via Naim servers yet, I suppose)

Not yet Dirk, but soon. Can you temporarily try connecting through another device and then connecting to the Uniti?

Solution at this moment is through my TV and tv setup box

I still have connection through tv-setup box (also radiostations available) HDMI → TV (tv has also Google Chromecast, so also radiostations available), TV → coaxial digital to Uniti1.

tv-setup box also can be connected ‘optical out’ toslink for sound to Uniti1, but haven’t got a cable long enough at this moment.

Also could connect smarthphone USB → portable FiiO DAC/AMP → digital out or analog out → Uniti1, but that’s even more of a hassle.

Still hope I can soon avoid all the hassle and iRadio will work again like before.

If one has the old generation streamers I recommend adding a streamer made today that is supporting and will support new solutions onwards. It will be an ever ending hassle keeping the old streamers alive. Just to update them with new firmware is challenging if your not tech savvy. Adding a new streamer will also increase streaming quality and more.

All good now, thanks for the tip

Good news. There’s a monthly feedback and requests thread that’s a sticky in the Streaming Audio room if you need it.

I have no internet radio, no directory. I’ve had this problem for 2 days

I have half a dozen tuners, the two I have plugged in are picking up radio 3 nicely.

Just sayin’…:wink::face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

Same here

Post that you don’t have a problem is of no value.

Hi DaveSpart,

I am living in the Netherlands and have also no internet radio available. Running latest version and I can see there is an internet connection and even traffic going out. Logged a support request with Niam.
