Tony Bazely led an interesting life. But is a little ‘stiff’ in this context.
Victor found great success when he moved to California.
Teddy Edwards helped form the hard bop language for the tenor.

I remember buying the original 10inch of the trio as a yoof.
I have owned most of these in various formats through the years.
But I don’t think they have sounded better and cleaner.
Modern jazz life blood.
On Qobuz. With a few sensible notes about the records. Most of the commentary offered now seems to be twaddle written by teenagers.

They are the same, although only one includes the review. Listen to the identical audience noise and applause at 3:25 in ‘It Had to be You’ for proof.
