I think he has the perfect tone for this CD !?

Offered Lester’s chair in the Basie band he still couldn’t settle in NYC.
Hope of a life free of prejudice and some respect he moved to Paris and led a gentle hippyish existence.
On the cusp tween swing and bop he could embrace either.
Sir Charles is very supportive and was another who often deserted his homeland searching for a better life.
