Hi @MrDom what a brilliant recommendation !! I just listened to the album and enjoyed every track. One of Peterson’s best to my opinion. Thanks for recommending. I noticed by the way that there is another album called “Oscar Peterson plays Richard Rodgers”. Also very nice

As ever, a beautiful DSM cover.

A well recorded happy tribute to Hoagy.

One to chase the grey and rainy clouds away.

What a very fine left hand. Big Dave McKenna would be pleased to have passed on his skill to such a fine musician.

MD from this period I enjoy greatly.

Newly released i think.

Sounds great. Four years before Blackhawk and an interesting comparison.

Can’t see it on Tidal. Have requested, using this link: https://tidal.link/3PlLNvR

The same lineup as the soundtrack Miles recorded for the film Ascenseur pour l’echafaud.

I wasn’t aware of the Olympia recording.
Thanks for posting.

A great favourite of mine. Dizzy had him in the original big band ‘to play the difficult parts’.
Hutcherson before he went tinkly awol.
Barron’s first recording apparently , 19 years old.
One day the jazz world will admire Billy Mitchell.
Beautifully clear and warm sound.
On Qobuz.

And again Dave

From before BlueNote lost me.

Leo was at the start Up at Mintons.
Played with Illinois Jaquet and R&B bands. He really does does blast away.
But I don’t do much delicate stuff.

Dexter Gordon described his playing’ as with much bottoms.’

Several vocals on this. The opening track is very touching.

A favourite Monk session. Swinging, happy music.
