Lambretta purchase and rebuild

Been on the road for a week now and loving it, have got to get another 100-miles on it before trip to IofW at the weekend.

Still awaiting some parts from the chromers but they are being rubbish and won’t be ready for another few weeks.

Some piccies of it and my mates TV175 S2:

Stunning job you’ve done there. Enjoy IoW rally. Last one I did was 1984 :joy:

Lovely photos. My mates were over there too.
My mate has 13 scooters, yes 13. I used to ask him which one he was going to ride to IOW.
He would say “the one that I know will get me there and back…ofcourse.”

Stunning build - an absolute credit. I’ve always wanted one of the Labretta Jets…I remember fondly my brothers TV175

The owner has that, a TV175 and an LD.

I’m fortunate in the small town I live in there’s a bunch of enthusiasts with classic scoots.

Using the Lammy too much of late so got myself a Vespa to use for popping into town or when I fancy a lunchtime buzz.

1962 GL - sold thru Gran Sport (Brum) Vespa dealer back in the day:

Growing up in Glasgow in the mid sixties, the favoured scoot was most definitely a Lambretta, the essence of cool, never mind that the Wasp was much more reliable.

So, overcoming a lifetime of predjudice, that is one beautiful bike.

Always had a soft spot for the GL and GS Wasps.

Yea they are nice, so much lighter than my Lammy too.

The GS is the one to go for but they are double the price of a GL so I’m happy with mine.
