I was in support, but level 3 support so I knew all my customers who were generally quite desperate if their issue came to me
We usually knew when first line were going to be out of their depth. Iād just walk round to the second/third line and talk to them. Works even better if you bring coffeeā¦ 
Absolutely, it was always about who you knew, and getting around the delays of logging tickets. If you knew someone in networks, then that was gold dust
