Anyone watching?

I thought it was all a bit chaotic against Argentina, prople trying a bit too hard. Has to start looking more coordinated from now on.

Is RU getting any attention in Australia?

Very little it’s not that popular and most is behind a paywall

Yup. Wouldn’t miss a lions game. It’s a shame about the lack of interest down your way Pete. These tours are very special up in our neck of the woods. The stuff of legends.

What an enjoyable first half. Both sides full of endeavour.

Pollock and White. One player on each side that you might want to love or hate, or both, but cannot ignore.

Bruce

Love pollock. Yellow card aside having a good game. But then again I am English. White? Does he think that facial hair is a good look?

A few years ago Daly looked utterly washed up in a dull English team. Today he just looks smart and classy.

Looks like a spent Force now.

Bruce

Yup. A good win and some classy passing and running off the ball in free play. Solid start and agree with your comments re Daly. Farrell needs to get the restarts sorted out though.

..and the front row.

As the commentators identified, there wasn’t much competition for the ball at the breakdown today which, I think, encouraged a lot of ‘sealing off’ to my eyes (or flopping). Neither side targeted this facet of the game. I agree re Daly, in that as England’s 15 he, at times, looked lost in terms of positioning, concentration and an open gate when it came to tackling.

Whereas the match against Argentina was a mess in the centre channels, today was much better, with an edge being created to run around.

Solid physical performance by the lions in the first half. Look to have edge in physicality and some creative handling and offloads from our backs. Looks like they might score a few more tries in the second half. Unless the wallabies can up their game. Good game though.

You sense the Lions may kick on in the final quarter, especially with the players on the Bench.

Australia a bit disappointing so far.

Too late, but fair play to them. Lions scrappy 2nd half.

Yes, some of the Scots are not very Scottish.

Russell, Tui and Jones first class. The back 3 did not impress. Itoje fairly anonymous in the second half. I thougt JGP had a mixed game - some of his box kicks were too short.

JGP and Russell bossed it in the first half. Curry was brilliant and sometimes fallible. MOTM were it not for a couple of crucial errors. Front five disappointing. Finishers didn’t, well, finish. Momentum with the Wallabies. Good for the series.

Australia played better than expected, most people I know (that are interested) wouldn’t have been surprised at 30-40 point differential.

Good to see Lynagh jr play well, we need some good news. The Lions were the better team but not as dominant as most thought they would.

Looking forward to the next game at the MCG sold out, be interesting to see the mix of red against the gold with a crowd of around 100ks.
