I have a NC222 that to went to the UK because it makes noises when i change volume.
Naim answer was of acknowledgement the issue BUT answering that it is the normal tolerance behaviour of the 222. Unbeliavable, a 7500€ equipment being considered normal with this issue.
Now, my remote stopped pairing with the 222 no matter what i do, changing batteries, restarting 222, etc.
I am guessing it is normal behaviour as well.
Anyone have any ideia on what can be happening? I already searched the forum.
Never tought i would get to this point, but i am really considering leaving Naim. The quality is absolute CRAP compared to what it once was.
Before i just had to press any of the front panel buttons to enable pairing and (after) press and hold the home button on the remote handset for 3 seconds.
Now i had to press and hold for 3 seconds both a button of the fron pannel and the home button on the handset.
@rcsmwhy not use a phone or iPad rather than the remote? I also wonder about the problem rates of the equipment you mention? When I have had serious malfunctioning issues, my first route was to contact my dealer.
I feel lucky that my 222-250 are able to send music to my speakers as i no longer know if it would be normal behaviour within accepted tolerance if it didn’t…
Was the response you got back really from Naim or just the service department of the distributor?
I notice you are in Portugal so it is natural to question whether your problems really landed on Naim’s desk. I’m suspecting that it didn’t.
Is the problem something you can capture on your phone? If so I would be inclined to raise a case via the support email for Naim HQ and let them know you can supply a video/recording. Take the third party put of the loop. But be honest and mention your dealer and local distributor think it’s normal but you disagree and want a second opinion.
Most people have very good experiences dealing with “real” Naim support in the UK.
Spotify connect stopped working for me after a firmware update. My first response was to mail Naim support. After several conversations and a LOT of time spent following their advice, none of which worked, I turned to AI which solved the problem for me with a few easy clicks and I was back up and running in five minutes. I sent a polite mail to Naim telling them how I’d fixed it. No reply.
