Ah, I recently also had an issue with cover art in a FLAC file. I did n’t think of that. Great that the problem is solved!
You can use the following action in mp3tag to resize the images rather than delete them.
If you’re using the Synology app I thought ( it’s a few years since I’ve used it ) there was also an option there to resize the image when the track was being streamed.
