Hi Bert,

Enjoy, and i really look forward to your “show” reports.

Thank you in advance.

:small_blue_diamond:This is a picture from Munich.

Appearance impressive.
How it plays maybe @BertBird can tell you about later .

/Peder🙂

Thanks Bert - appreciated!

They clearly take their inspiration from the same place as Chord. Steampunk by the looks of it.

Looks like about 20 grand, just in the case!

This below,is some information and background to the picture I added,…on a beautiful Power-amp.
It is Krell’s constructor Dan D’Agostino who constructed this creation.

:small_blue_diamond:The Dan D’Agostino Master Audio…

Systems Progression range,.is designed to sit under the mighty Momentum.

But,.unlike most brands that make the cheaper line ‘lite’ or ‘stripped-down’.

:black_small_square:D’Agostino makes the two lines entirely different in performance!
This is not something new for D’Agostino.

Back in the 1980s,.the two products from Dan’s drawing board that everyone wanted were either the
:black_small_square:Krell KSA-50,.or the
:black_small_square:Krell KSA-250.

The Krell KSA-50 was the lower-powered, deceptively powerful pure Class A design, and the Krell KSA-250 was the powerhouse.

Watt for watt,…the Krell KSA-50 was considerably more expensive.

Fast-forward to 2018 and the Progression Stereo delivers more power than its more upmarket Momentum Stereo counterpart.

Hello Peder

Progression Integrated with streaming option looks like an interesting proposition.

:small_blue_diamond:@bailyhill,…Hello …I have never listened to Krell KSA-80B,.but on Krell KSA-50.
A legendary power-amp.

But interesting with your Apogee,.it’s one of the harder loudspeakers to power. This is because of what you say.
They “fall” to 1 ohm at load.
Nothing for a 300B tube-amp .

I have never listened to Apogee in the home environment.
However,…they were featured on a Hifi-Show that I organized 1997.
But then the exhibitor used a Nelson Pass power-amp.

How do you think they play in your house today.?
Found a picture of your Krell,I hope it is the right image .

:small_blue_diamond:I found a picture of how the Momentum Power-amp looks under the “lid”.

Some HiFi-porn for your technically interested.

…ultimative “box count” solution…

Indeed, I gather that it is $25k fully loaded, and that compares favourably well with the cost of the bundle of Black boxes required to deliver similar features, and no multi level rack required

Dagostino Mlife with streaming dac ( 48) and the new Progression integrated, with more apparent photo:

Oooh, that is a better picture. If the Integrated Progression is any where near as good at the one that is out there at the moment, this will be one to watch.

i doubt however, but who knows. The Mlife costs 48k and the Progression 18k.

I had the pleasure of listening to the current Progression amplifier this time last year, it is a wonderful amplifier

If anyone goes into the Vertere room can you let me know what amps they are showing with?

Many thanks.
