Munich show 2024

Oooh yes, I have had a couple of its bigger brothers, the SU-7700.

That one looks much nicer than the Unitra. It has great symmetry which the Unitra doesn’t.

Yes it looks better

Oups, i confounded with the Pioneer SA 5300…the Unitra has no apparent screws.
I prefer those with vu meters also.

Hifi Rose 180 integrated. Knobs, knobs, vu meters, buttons, and other tricks.
Too much.
Hifi Rose seems to have success however today. Specially his streamers.
They will be present at Munich 2024.

Like the control panel of a spaceship in a 1950’s movie!

The Rose hasn’t and pedigree of that design style though. It’s purely an attempt to mimick it. And I think they miss the mark by a wide margin.

Don’t forget Nagra. Great designs IMO.

I love the Japanese :jp: amps with VU meters but that leaves me cold

Just looked at this again and tried to view each side independently. The vu meter side almost looks like a face (two eyes) and a big clown nose.

For me, this is one ugly Amp.

It looks like they’ve tried to put every single vintage style in the amp to try and appeal to everyone, but failed, spectacularly.

DG…

It’s just a shame that the Marten speakers sound so stiff, Peder. But good luck!

lol a mixture of everything

Cello !!! mark levnson… btw, where’s he now ??? Still in the trade ?

Their streamer looks better. A nice screen.

Yup … full screen, very popular … but now ever solo comes in , very competitive , less expensive and selling better due to price …

Mark Levinson had a falling out with the board of the maker that shares his name decades ago and left. He did not agree with the direction they wanted to steer the company that he started.

He’s the head designer at Daniel Hertz now.

We will see the Tri Art turntable from Ontario.
Something very odd with the look.

Mine was a JVC RS-77

I chucked it when it developed a fault. I regret it. It was like something from the dashboard of the Millennium Falcon
