Muso/internet radio problems

The vtuner service for radio is deprecated; if your muso is running the latest firmware release February 7th then you are using the Naim iradio service.

Thanks, noted. Yes, firmware is 2.1.
Could Naim iradio service be down due to maintenance or smth?

I’m using it right now. If you haven’t replaced existing presets - these will be marked with an exclamation mark within a triangle - these will not work.

Anyone else having problems streaming from Roon to a Mk 1 Muso Qb since the firmware update?

I posted my problem a couple of days ago, and thought that the problem had been resolved by disabling and then re-enabling the Muso in the Roon Audio settings as suggested by @robert_h.

Roon did initially successfully stream to my Muso immediately after doing this. However, the problem returned yesterday, and despite re-enabling the Muso in Roon settings and rebooting my Roon core on several occasions I have not been able to stream to the Muso since that first success.

The problem only exists when attempting to stream from Roon to my Muso Qb1 any of my 4 Roon remote devices (Windows 10 pc, Android phone, and both of my iPads), and each of these devices can successfuly stream from Roon to my other streaming devices (Linn Klimax, microRendu, Marantz NA7004 via Chromecast and Sky Q TV).

However, Internet Radio on the Muso Qb1 does work using its pre-sets, and I can successfully stream to the MuzoQb1 from both my Naim and Tidal apps on my iPads. My issue only occurs when attempting to stream from Roon to the Muso. My Roon remote apps can see the Muso Qb1 and will allow me to apparently connect to it, but the stream does not ‘play’. Roon attempts to play, but gives up and stops after 10 or so seconds of silence.

Does any one else have similar issues with their Mk1 Muso Qbs, or have any advice other than re-enable my Muso in Roon or re-boot my Roon core?

I’d very much appreciate any advice!

copy @support.

I don’t stream direct to the qb via roon. My qb is wired to the network, but the stream from roon would randomly stop or not even start. I use a raspberry pi as a roon bridge with a usb dac attached, connected to the qb line in.
The new Naim iradio works perfectly.

I was able to solve this thanks to a poster on the Roon forum who I think also sometimes posts here. Two steps were needed, I’m not at home so can’t give full details but the first is that Roon has an AirPlay compatibility switch that you have to turn on. Second (and slightly bizarrely) you have to add the Mu-so to the Apple Home app (just add it, nothing more). And then it works, at least it does for me…

Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately no success.
I had already tried toggling the Airplay compatibility mode alternately ‘on’ and ‘off’, but tried again with no success. I also added the Muso to the Apple home page on my iPad, but again no success - when I select the Muso on the home page, it indicates that remote control is not available.

So unfortunately no success.

Edit: I have just tried switching Airplay compatibility mode ‘on’ again in Roon, and I am now able to stream to the Muso from Roon using Roon Remote on both my iPad and Window 10 PC.

I have no idea why this has now worked, because I had tried switching Airplay compatibility mode on several times over the last few days with no success. I can’t imagine that adding the Muso to my Apple Home app on the iPad has had anything to do with the fact that the problem as been (at least temporarily) resolved. The Apple Home page entry could not possibly have had anything to do with the fact that I can now stream to the Muso from my Windows 10 PC.

I am very confused, but happy - at least for the time being.

Ah, yes it’s not adding the Mu-so to the home page, you need to add the Mu-so as a device in the Home app (the icon for the app is an orange house on a white background). See if that helps

For those on mk1 who did both the fw and app update and still no radios show when clicking on radio , you might still have an old stream running.
STOP the stream play and the radios browser should be available
