Muso QB 2 buy now or wait for an upgraded (potentially) next year?

Hi

I’m running a Nova already and I absolutely love it.

I’m considering adding a QB2 the bedroom/”office” but heard that most resellers was sold out and had issues ordering QB2.

Could it be that another upgraded version is coming? When does Naim typically upgrade their products? Trying to figure out if its worth waiting or not.

For what it’s worth (and I apologise if it’s not worth much to you!) I was last year in a similar position when considering upgrade of a first generation Mu-so. (I, too, have a Nova, and love it but used the Mu-so in my bedroom.) In the end I went for an Atom when that was on offer and have never regretted it. I should say that I had an unused pair of Proac Response 1.5 floorstanding speakers—so the idea is probably not so useful if it means you also have to buy speakers as well.

All I can say is that if the Atom can be considered it’s a super choice.

I started with an Atom, but my speakers asked for more, so I upgraded to the Nova. Unfortunately I do not have any speakers laying around, so I believe the QB will do the job in the bedroom. Maybe, but only maybe, and he Muso could be an alternative but is almost 2x the price of the QB.

The nearest you’ll find today to a muso 3 is the Cambridge audio evo one.

It seems to be readily available in the U.K.

At a very well known (ahem) online store in the U.S., the Naim Wood edition and the QB2 are both on sale - for the same price - $999. The standard Muso is $1299.

And before someone asks, the actual retailer is an authorized Naim dealer - I bought my Nova from them.
