NA729 card question

Are there any downsides to removing these from my NAC 72?

If I understand correctly they are time-align cards, associated with tape monitoring.

I use the 72 with 2 inputs ( turntable into a 322 or soon to be 323e card, and a basic Bluetooth adaptor so I can beam tunes from my phone- if I really have to!)
Thanks

The NA729s are time-aligned input buffer boards, and necessary for the correct function of the pre-amp. I wouldn’t recommend you remove them, unless you’re thinking of fitting the earlier NA324 buffers, but then you might as well get a NAC32.5 instead.

Thanks Richard. Thought I’d check before taking them out!
