A bit ‘old school’ but this is sounding tremendous in my set up.
It replaced a NAC202/NAP200
Do you have a HiCap or plans to add one @Heathwood.
I went 282/300 with HiCap DR, but the 282/250 with HiCap DR was amazing too🙂
I do have a HiCap, but this is obligatory with the 282, I believe,
A power supply of some sort is required, if you have a Naim pre and a 250 (or above). The 250 has no Preamp supply built in.
You are right of course.
I’m also a 202/200 owner and you can actually power the 202 & 282 from the 200.
Otherwise, as you say, you need a FC/SC/HC to power it.
Apologies for my mistake
PS Had you considered adding your system to your profile
Just added my profile
…another HAPPY retiree
There’s quite a few of us on here. I called it a day 3 years ago at 55
Same here, although it was mainly a response to us all being made redundant from Fujitsu in 2009. Had a BIG redundancy package and a ‘gold plated’ final salary, index linked, pension which I started drawing early.
How is it being a man of leisure?
My wife still works and very hard too, so I have taken on all domestic duties.
Keeps me out of trouble and leaves me loads of time for this wonderful music hobby of ours.
Money, youth and time to spend the money - if we are lucky, we get to enjoy 2 of them.
You off to Taz for the Winter Nick?
Absolutely. I have seen many Decembers and Januarys in London, and they are rubbish. Meanwhile…
As for hard work, I approve - I could watch it for hours.
Looks like you need to invest in some Conduit over there Nick, or perhaps some subfloor channeling
We are almost back on message for this thread as that is 82/HC/ 250.
The floor is being replaced in this month’s decoration, but the cables can’t really go under it. When we go down in 3 months we’ll be taking 2 x 7m of white Kudos KS-1. That should reduce the eyesore effect.
That 82/HC/250 could really use a nice “Vintage” TT
Did you keep your old LP12 in the end?
So far I have failed to give it up. However, with no-one to do the occasional service closer than Melbourne, and no actual vinyl down there, I am struggling to convince myself to take it down there. Indecision will be my epitaph….
I can top that! I retired 23 years ago, aged 45!
Yeah, I guess if you went on the ferry it would probably be a 3 day round trip, including a day for a visit to the dealer.
Still, not impossible. What price good HiFi/Music
