The nice metal remote is actaully earlier production. Early NAC 52 preamps also came with a similar nice metal remote. The nice metal remote that came with my 1991 NAC 52 preamp became a paperweight after I had the preamp updated to then-current spec in 1999 as the remote wasn’t RC5-compliant.
