CBs make everything else look like âlifestyleâ. Timeless classics.
Wish I had kept my CBâs. They just look amazing, timeless and classic are the right words @twofifty
I have also had that BD Nac 32 serial no 0032 ,superb sounding.
Ever compared it to a NAC12 with same cards?
Yes and I think the BD Nac 32 sounds even better than the Nac 12.
Interesting - tx
Do you recall what power amp you were using?
I used 2x BD Nap 160 and also 2x Nap120 into Snaxo and active Kans.
Thanks!
Youâve certainly got plenty of good gear.
What? So I had a spare shelf, and this happened X)
NAC42.5 NAP110
Only 200 apart in serial numbers so I think they were bought as a pair and kept together.
Plugged in and streaming just now, they sound flipping lovely! Too much on today to listen carefully, but very happy owner so far!
Lovely - the 42.5 was my first Naim pre-amp, along with a CB140 (which i still have, 36 years on). Something just right about the tractor wheel, shoebox CB kit.
Enjoy
Lookinâ good!
Are these your first CB amps gthack?
Just rediscovered this thread so decided to add a couple pics of my two Naits. The Nait 2 has developed distortion in the right channel so will be taking it in for a service. Nait 1 has been called into service and doing a stellar job until then.
Yep, I owned a NAIT3 for 20 odd years before buying my XS3, which Iâve had for a couple of years.
I had a thought to pick up a NAP110 to help my Unitiqute out⌠but honestly, the pair sound great. Playing a bit more this afternoon and Iâm really enjoying them! Scarily so. I had no real idea what theyâd sound like, very pleasantly surprised, despite all the positive comments about them, you just donât know until you hear for yourself
And they do look good 8)
Couldnât agree more
CB is great cos, if you do eventually sell them on, you may actually make a bit of money on them (rather than lose tons as often happens with this hobby)
42.5/110 (without SNAPS/HICAP) is my fav CB combo (in the extruded casework) and had them all except 135s. Older bolt down is even more engaging, but not as clear sounding so âmightâ be a step too far for modern sources.
I also have a BD32. The serial number is 724 and has the same finish.
716 and 724, The numbers are very similar, so there must have been a small series of 32bd with this textured finish.
