Naim Chrome Bumper

Not sure where the mock-up image originally came from, but… hmmmm.

Yeah, that’ll do nicely thx :+1:

So, what would we expect it to have?

No headphone socket like the original?

Built-in MM + 3 inputs? RCA or 5-pin? - not sure there would be space for both.

Small PSU.

That’s about it I suppose. Dunno why it’s taking them so long!

Stripped down, pared back, just a sweet sounding amplifier for rekindling my vinyl interest.

Can be cb,olive or all black, But can we have the volume knob on the right pretty please?:grinning:

Ok… drop the classic moniker then?

Received my set today. Happy weekend to come

Stop! Of Couse it has to be the CB design; nothing else and nothing less.

At least it would be nice if one could still get the enclosures. If so, the honored gentlemen could be supplemented by a DIY D/A converter, music streamer and Internet radio or even a top-loader CD transport.

That mock up pretty much looks like the DAC V1 minus the screen and headphone out.

Hi from Sweden, just unboxed my old SNAP/32/250 and my lp12. Still sound great and will hopefully be able to drive my passive Ikubarik made in 2018. The old equipment was bought new by me in mid 1980s and serviced before I boxed them.

Akubarik…

After refurbing the Thorens TD150 MkII on the right of the picture and fitting an Ortofon Bronze I then decided to add an Ortofon OM30 to the Michell/Hadcock turntable. The Yamaha CR 820 receiver sounded great with both of these, but I had a feeling they were worthy of alot more. I have wanted Naim amps since I bought the Michell turntable when I was 20. Children, family, life, work, all kind of got in the way however. I’m now 60 and finally have been able to realise the dream. Enter a Naim Nac62 and a Nap140. The photo shows them set up temporarily before a proper install but WOW, so impressed. Both turntables sound great but the Naim gear makes it so easy to tell the difference between them even though the cartridges are almost equivalent. Loving the music being produced by this old but rejuvenated system.

I’m currently listening to a 22 120. Since the virus I had more time to search out and review other chrome bumper equipment. About 2 months ago I was able to get a 62 140. This Monday I will be purchasing the hicap which was recently overhauled. I love the older equipment and my friends who all have very expensive and exotic audio systems can’t believe that I have the sound and Stage from equipment that’s 40 some odd years old. During this time I’ve also went back to my youth and purchased Marantz receiver that was totally going through as well as purchasing the outer wooden case from a German manufacturer. I turn the Marantz on because I love the lighting looks like jewelry when I’m using my Naim equipment. I know there are a lot of record collectors and CD guys and girls out there but I run all of mine with a Sonos port and can play anything. In fact I’ve listened to every album other than classical that’s been posted on this site. It’s fun to be introduced the different artist and music from the past to the present. Thank you members and keep up with the postings.

Great to hear Gordon. How do you like the 22/120 and how does it compare to the 62/140?

That’s interesting, I have a Walkman Pro around the place. Shall have to investigate that.

Nice system you have there, our son now has our 62/140 so were looking for a CB HiCap for it.

I really like the classic, timeless look of CB.

Are those 9 135s or 250s… and what are you using them for?

Heating

Its for an HomeCinema, i think this is explained in the systeme pictures 2020 thread.

Another thread was on about Guru Juniors so I though I would show off my walnut mk1s in my CB setup. Oh, my other setup is CB too!
