Hmmm….
Thank you - It looks like a brand new one to me.
Thank you - they are Spendor ls3/5 I’ve owned for 28 years.
@anon27418182 also was kind enough to help me find my CB Nait 2 back in 2008.
It then went straight to @Darran at Class A for the service and has been a joy ever since.
Enjoy yours @Bandit it looks great!
Maurice
Thank you @Bandit and @daddycool it was a pleasure to help you find them but I don’t want a queue forming……
Bandit’s also had a service from @Darran at Class A before going on it’s way.
Well 2 in a row makes you the specialist now
Small system change here (but long story) it’s currently driving very charming Royd Coniston R speakers from the LP12 and a cheapo streamer (pics still show the NAT05).
Have been experimenting with speaker positioning but ended up back in the original location. Well, it was a rainy day anyway so time well spent
Nice looking room.
Thank you @daddycool - @anon27418182 was very kind indeed. Mine wouldn’t be serviced at class a without his help. Thanks again.
@daddycool Your room is very lovely. I like the way you place those speakers where you can see the view while listening to music.
The CB Nait 2 seems to be popular around these parts, here’s mine
Also fully serviced by Darran last year
It’s lovely to see these Naits in such good condition and being used. Great amps.
I hadn’t realised until reading a Stereophile article a few years back, that one of my old colleagues had worked at Naim and had the job of redesigning the Nait 1 output stage from complimentary to quasi-complimentary and a move to a double sided PCB for the Nait 2.
Anyway, as I don’t have a Nait 2, here’s my minty Nait 1…
It’s the best looking Naim amp me thinks. Hell, it’s the best looking Naim product.
Don’t think it’s possible to take a better Nait 1 photo than that. I won’t even try
It is a lovely photo of a very nice looking NAIT.
Thanks both. It’s still a lovely looking little amp.
So, it looks like NAP 250 no. 5 has had an LED lamp fitted Actually, it looks way worse in the photo than it does in situ… I’m rather taken with it, TBH. Does anyone have any experience in sourcing / fitting these lamps?
The bulbs are freely available but vary in length over the production of the CB250 so you’ll have to measure yours first.
Tom Tom are are Naim dealer and sell on their online shop.
You can find them on eBay. They are easy to replace on your own.
I used to use the original bulbs but they blew every time my kids turned off the hicap, so I switched to LED. They don’t blow (as far as I can tell) and the lime green color nicely matches the lights of the 32.5 and hicap. It’s a win/win.
Trying to think what you might be doing but struggling to come up with something.
Comparing 32.5/110 to 32.5/Hi/250 perhaps?
