In all seriousness the large number of choices with high end equipment can be staggering to someone with the money who just wants great sound. A Naim system with appropriate Focal speakers offered as a package with a price a bit less than buying the separates is an easy way to get something great. Plug and play. The tin can package is a way to market the solution. It’s not aimed at us on this forum but it may be a very good idea.
Also i think the lack of XPS is well judged. The target buyer probably isn’t into box overload - xps, 300, supercap is too much potentially. This combo drops it down a rung.
…it certainly will help with making the upgrade process easier. The buyer can move from Tin to Bronze, then Silver, then Gold, then Platinum, then to Platinum Plus.
No need for components to change and this will make it easier for the buyer! They will be ready to go as soon as it is plugged in…
…of course matching accessories such as speaker cable colors, connections cables colors, frame racks colors will insure your hi-fi is fully updated!
Upgrade process made easy!
…and I really believe Naim/Focal left money on the table when they did not introduce the Tin SuperNait 3 models with the same matching streamer, power supplies, and speaker options. Come on guys…
Gosh, I did not expect to see such a bunch of grumpy old men on the forum. Only Naim/ Focal has a insight in the target audience for this anniversary system.
I wonder, if the long-awaited 272-2 will be introduced and it has a Uniti like appearance instead of the classic black box that everybody is expecting … the forum is also not happy with that?
I’m fully expecting the new streamer pre-amp to be in the Uniti/Solstice styling and are looking forward to the forum fireworks that will inevitably erupt
On the Focal side of things, I don’t really know what to make of the concrete side panels on the speakers. I guess they will be heavy enough and hopefully won’t crack….
