My current go to album ….
Indeed - tongue v much in cheek
With Naim investing in hardware to offer different colours than black,
I’m quite convinced Naim will offer any choice of cabinet color by order.
Could be white, gold, green maybe even rainbow.
Yeah, but would that be a pine barge pole or an oak one? Some say that larch is best, but they are imagining the difference. There are a few really expensive barge poles made of ironwood or rosewood, but these impart rather a heavy touch, I find.
Not the time to be buying timber. Have you seen the prices!
Yes, I know. I am intending to make a replacement window - actually, I had intended to make it last year, but couldn’t get the timber. Not sure how much it will cost this year.
I have to admit I like the grey version, reminds me of this iconic Braun system:
And the good news is that FZ’s post can be re-used. Its always true and can be applied in most situations.
Anyone seen these Tin editions in the flesh? Interested in your reaction.
I saw those beasts in real life yesterday. The matte finish looks much better than in most pictures and reminded me instantly on the Braun atelier series that I adored back in my youth (picture above). I think the more homogenous case of the old Braun pulled the color off a little better, but I am sure the Naim boxes will find very appreciative owners as well. They almost look as good as … the black ones.
I did have an issue with the fronts of the fitting speakers, though.
Best, Jorg
Thanks. Most interesting. I believe 10 sets are heading to Australia. Will see them soon enough.

who is going to buy this system? [/quote]
We’ve received the first of our clients Naim & Focal 10th Anniversary systems
Congrats on the sale of the 10th Anniversary system.
BTW, in addition to your quote of mine, I also said the following:
Thanks Nigel
We’re going to clear all of our clients orders for their Naim & Focal 10th Anniversary systems first and then if it’s not to late hopefully have a Naim & Focal 10th Anniversary system for our demo/display purposes
What is meant by the term vintage in this context? Old-fashioned or what? How can the marketing department at Focal call Naim’s current product range vintage?
Yep - pointless
Pure marketing, there will always be some jumping on such b.
Well the three systems destined for my neck of the woods sold before hitting the coastline. For some it is possibly an end game system. Given the exchange rate, it would be classed a luxury purchase over here. Although an argument could be made, a very good argument in fact, that the classic system, in black, same spec, is an incredible investment opportunity…it’s what i tell my wife…
I guess its only investment if it’s going to get you more money than you paid. Looking at nait 1s, you have around 40 years to wait for a return on that investment
