I think 62 is match with 140 no matter CB/Olive
and 42.5 is with 110
Here’s the latest incarnation of my Olive system. Both my sources need the top shelf of a stack hence the slight mixing of brains and brawn. I can’t detect any loss of sound quality for doing it this way so all is good.
From the top
Left stack: LP12 | NAC52 | Stageline | XPS
Right stack: CDS2 | Supercap | NAP135 | NAP135
Speakers: SBL MKii (Hornslett cabinet) Walnut.
why the Stageline? isn’t the phono of the 52 as good?
No boards and intend to upgrade when funds allow.
As did I, I went in to demo a 250 against my 140, and Derek Jenkins with a wicked grin on his face suggested I listened to the second hand pair of 135s they had just got.
Back in the day, I had a 32.5/hicap/250 driving original Linn Saras.
The amp never quite got there for me. Chris Brooks invited me to listen to a new Naim power amp.
It was called a NAP135.
The 135s absolutely gripped the Saras, making for compulsive listening. I was smitten.
That’s very similar to how I ended up with my CDS, went in looking for a CDX. “Ahhh, but I am just selling this CDS for a customer, do you want to demo it?”.
How does the tab10 sounds at the end of 72/HC/140?
sounds good to me, very close to my old SBL (sold now), but the Wife Acceptance Factor is better
so does the SBL sounds better?
My totally unbiased ( cough honest) opinion is that the nDAC was/is something special…now give it an XPS…
SBL is my best speakers ever. Sold them only ´cause of WAF.
But these T10s are very very good speakers.
No more boxes
If not I have to find a FraimLite extension and it’s not the plan
have you always drived them with the 140?
The T10s ? first with the Qute, only few weeks.
No, the SBL
when I had the SBL, I had, 32.5/HC/110, then the Qute for some months.
I might do a bit of reordering, but this is a tiny and capable system. I’m missing the hicap, that makes a big difference.
how does the IBL sounds at the end of the 140?
