What a beautiful system
Thank you.
Some did, most didn’t.
It was an optional extra, available as a kit.
Is that the covered socket immediately above the green ‘240V’ sticker?
I will have to look and see if my NAIT2 has that.
No, the open din socket on left hand side on the second unit down.
And look very good too! Shoebox systems are special
How are the 140s set up? One per channel?
Rather lovely CD3 or CD3.5?
Yes…one per channel…
It is CD3.
Intresting as i had previously considered using 2 off 140s, each to power a speaker. Assuming that dedicating the transformer to just one channel would make a difference.
Did you notice a significant improvement using 2 off 140s?
I’ve made a few edits - would members please respect and abide by forum rules re. discussion of unauthorised modifications. Thanks.
owh…sorry Richard, my bad.
Dear @NeilS and @Richard.Dane
Please may I ask your advice, with a question?
Please can you identify the item - product name and maybe supplier(s) - that is used as a protector, for the end of the boards in this olive pre-amp ???
It’s a strip of clear plastic, “ U “ cross section shape, which fits (slips) on to the top end of the boards.
I assume it is available in strips, which can be cut into smaller lengths, as seen.
See image below…
Thanks in advance
Kind regards
R
@Richard.Dane ( and @NeilS )
I would say “Probably”…
If you google search phrase “ Naim NAC72 inside”, then look at images.
Most pictures have these parts, on the top of all the boards.
Although all the interchangeable boards are self supporting, seated on the connecting pins, there is a little movement. Just a little. So, guessing these strips help - as a spacer - to stop the boards touching to top of the casing, once it is back in place, etc. But, that’s just a guess.
Hope that helps?
