That is stunning!
We bought the chair a few months after the speakers.
The idea was indeed to match a certain color pallette.
We did the same for the bass traps behind the speakers, on ceiling and encased in the book shelves.
Fifty shades of grey
What a cool topic. I like this print that my wife found for me. Always been a fan of Nick Cave and I like that Warren Ellis is in it too.
Amazing
Mine is slightly different
We share the same love for music and mountaineering.
Last year in the Mont Blanc massif.
That is truly amazing, a very talented graffiti artist!
Brilliant idea, looks stunning!
Thanks everyone for the positive comments…
I think that I may have stood on that very platform a couple of yours ago.
A truly stunning view, but sad to say in my case no climbing gear whatsoever was involved. Three cheers for the invention of aerial gondolas!
Very cool, is it done with an air brush? Enjoy Peter
Just a regular can of spray paint Peter.
Thanks.
Scott.
Aiguille du Midi?
Yes. A quick “Arête des Cosmiques” with my wife.
I hoped to ride the Cosmiques Couloir on a couple of occasions but never got the conditions. Used to take a regular winter pilgrimage to Chamonix and enjoy the back country but it’s pretty busy these days.
That’s serious steep skiing!
Having the right conditions is not easy, especially if you live abroad and spend only a few days in Chamonix.
I’m more into climbing, and during winter I usually prefer wearing crampons (ice climbing, gullies, north faces …). Ski is more a transport means, quite useful when you miss the cab
The Cosmiques Ridge is a nice playground during winter, and summer. I gave Digital Crack a couple tries last year, but wasn’t able to send it…
My first trip to Cham was in the late 80s and I fell in love with the place. Ski touring back then (Haute Route, Montblanc etc) but splitboarding/freeriding these days.
Often in crampons and occasionally a rope to access a descent but no real climbing.
Rode the Ensa Couloir in very icy conditions the last time there and will never forget two wingsuituters flying straight over us, close enough to see their faces; utterly nuts! They used to lap off the Brevent lift but I don’t think they’re allowed to any more.
Wow, fantastic idea, and so personal, superb job.
I believe the red stamp is used on Japanese prints. But I am not 100% certain.
Anyone have any advice for buying art?
I have never bought art before and seem rather daunted by the whole process.
Being based in the UK, Artfinder seems like a good place to explore.
Can anyone advise on what to look for if contemplating a piece.
Also the most confusing part of all to my self is the pricing. Some pieces seem to be priced very high even when the artist has very reasonable pieces of a similar size.
Thanks all.
First rule is always to make sure whatever you buy you like it regardless of who it’s by or how much you pay. Try looking at the artist site you can often get them slightly cheaper.
Obviously the more well known the more you’ll pay.
