Yes, wouldn’t mind that on my wall. Might be a bit worried about the insurance mind you.

The frame is a bit much for my taste too.

Amazing frame, best suited to Art Galleries and Palaces though.

I suspect it took longer to produce the frame than doing the painting- it all just looks lush! :hugs: Yes please Peter

Been diversifying my frame making by using solid walnut and other veneers. Veneer finishes are a bit of a pain, as they don’t allow you to do too much sanding. It’s come to a bit of a halt at the moment, as the very last finish is proving difficult for me. Each veneer or the walnut behaves differently to each finish and also depends on how fine I’ve sanded it. Tried to achieve a Chris Harban finish, but come no where close to my eyes.

Different attempts on the veneer.

Seems like the perfect alternative occupation for a hifi enthusiast. Always the possibility for it to be slightly better! In my opinion a good quality frame ‘completes’ the picture. There’s something reassuring about the feel of it.

A local artist and friend recently made these acrylic pours for us. I love them, they really compliment the room colours.

These paint pours reminds me of what a human cell looks like.

That’s almost like something HR Giger might have come up with. Half way between beautiful and disturbing.

These are some flowers that I made to accompany my late wife everytime she went into hospital. Health and Safety did not allow real flowers on the Ward so I made these instead.

…excellent! Just love the vase and flowers…

That’s brilliant, excellent idea and a great creation. I’m sure they were much appreciated, so sorry to hear of your loss.

This Horacio Silva has been with us since 2000, it was a wedding gift.
I always thought he is a tuba player, therefore he has always been in the music room. In Milan, in Mexico DF, in Johannesburg and back to Milan at the moment.
