This Vanessa Bell lives in our study
Lots of character in this panting…and the frame.
Some great images there.
I remember the demands placed on our student union from Morrissey and his gladioli fetish
We inherited a water colour painted by a British artist James Merriot. We looked him up and he is living in Essex and Mrs Bruss wrote to him and received a lovely reply. He tells us that he has decided to donate all of his unsold work for the NHS and has an exhibition at Ingastone Hall from Sunday 23rd May for the rest of this year. If you are in the area please visit. If you are minded then visit virginmoneygiving, search Jim Merriot for further info.
For our American friends interest he has also donated previous profits to the memorial garden for American airmen who served in Suffolk in WW2.
Thank you, Ingatestone is not that far from me at all so I will have a pop over and have a gander.
Amazing artist…All he had to do is look at the scene and he can draw it perfectly from memory!
He flew over London in a helicopter and drew an entire panoramic from memory!
Hadleigh castle. Very nice. Just up the road from me.
And me… I’m in hockley
This is a DIY printed canvas with Acoustic Foam filling and is on the wall behind the couch in the listening room for aesthetics and room treatment. It does have a rather subtle connection to Naim as well…
Was the photo taken in Salisbury?
Yes, Sarum.
Very nice photo Mike.
Thank you. I’m still working on Mrs Mike for another one on another wall in the room (picture from Paris).
Can it really be three years since I went to Old Trafford to see The Stones do their thing?
Must be, 'cos the proof was this Dad’s Day present from one of my daughters, who was there with me on the night.
From Ronnie Wood’s “Setlist” collection, and a lovely keepsake of a great night.
Love that, thanks for posting. Just looked and Cardiff is available.
