Naim radio as separate device in the Naim app

I agree it’s not the most intuitive method. I guess other people found it the same way I did by trying different things when they wanted to get back to the device screen.

For it to work the way other players do I think they would need to have it as a seperate Naim Radio app and then from there you could select whether to play locally or on a streamer.

This is something new that Naim is experimenting with to gauge popularity and see how well it works. I’m sure there will be further development based on the feedback they receive.

Anyone with more than one Naim streamer will know that you get back to the Rooms screen by tapping the Room name at the top. It’s been like that for years…

A lot of things in this world has been a mess “for years”. Here’s a bold proposal informing the user that something is behind the product namn.

That hasn’t been true in my experience. I’ve used four remote controller apps over the years on a regular basis: Focal/Naim, JRemote for JRiver, iPeng for the Lyrion Media Server, and Wiim. None of them have a cast media button of the type in your screenshot (and which I have for Qobuz, e.g.). Like the Focal/Naim app, both JRemote and iPeng offer the option of playing music on the phone itself by selecting it within the app in the same manner as you would select any other available streamer.

How come the account prioritised my focal website info. When I went to make the account it told me I already had one so I altered the password the only products listed are the focal aria’s I haven’t had in years and it showed I was registered for focal newsletter not the naim one. Even though I’ve registered several naim products via the website over the years none of that is listed.

This is a really cool service for music in the car. Using it right now, excepted the favourites management, it’s great

How does it work in the car Joost? Install the Naim app on your phone , select Naim radio and connect the phone to the car’s Bluetooth?

I use Apple Carplay, but I think it should work the way you describe it. The Naim app just replaces any other music app you would use normally.
