Hello Kurt,
where can I find the list with these stations on the Internet you posted?

I actually programmed something that transforms the OggFlac envelope to a WAV format a Gen 1 device can play instead of the lossy “near” hi-res streams provided by Naim (and others).
If you want to have, the original streams, this is what I defined in my config file:
station = naim_jazz, Naim Jazz, http://mscp3.live-streams.nl:8340/jazz-flac.flac, wav, 1
station = naim_radio, Naim Radio, http://mscp3.live-streams.nl:8360/flac.flac, wav, 1
station = naim_classical, Naim Classical, http://mscp3.live-streams.nl:8250/class-flac.flac, wav, 1
station = radio_paradise_main, Radio Paradise Main Mix, http://stream.radioparadise.com/flac, wav, 1
station = radio_paradise_mellow, Radio Paradise Mellow Mix, http://stream.radioparadise.com/mellow-flac, wav, 1
station = radio_paradise_rock, Radio Paradise Rock Mix, http://stream.radioparadise.com/rock-flac, wav, 1
station = radio_paradise_eclectic, Radio Paradise Eclectic Mix, http://stream.radioparadise.com/eclectic-flac, wav, 1
#station = radio_paradise_world, Radio Paradise World Mix, http://stream.radioparadise.com/world-etc-flac, wav, 1
station = intense_radio, Intense Radio, http://secure.live-streams.nl/flac.flac, wav, 2
station = the_cheese, The Cheese, http://thecheese.ddns.net:8004/stream, wav, 1
station = sector80s, Sector 80s, http://89.223.45.5:8000/geny-flac, wav, 1
station = sector90s, Sector 90s, http://89.223.45.5:8000/next-flac, wav, 1
station = chill_out_zone, Chill Out Zone Plus, http://chillout.zone/chillout_plus, wav, 1
station = 440hz_radio, 440Hz-Radio, http://stream.440hz-radio.de:8080/440hz.flac.ogg, wav, 1
station = super_stereo_chile_1, SuperStereo Chile 1 - HD, http://198.204.228.202:8160/flac, wav, 1
station = super_stereo_chile_1_mp3_320, SuperStereo Chile 1 - MP3 320kb/s, http://198.204.228.202:8160/flac, mp3, 4
station = super_stereo_chile_1_mp3_192, SuperStereo Chile 1 - MP3 192kb/s, http://198.204.228.202:8160/flac, mp3, 5
station = super_stereo_chile_4, SuperStereo Chile 4 - HD, http://198.204.228.202:8030/flac, wav, 1
station = super_stereo_chile_4_mp3_320, SuperStereo Chile 4 - MP3 320kb/s, http://198.204.228.202:8030/flac, mp3, 4
station = super_stereo_chile_4_mp3_192, SuperStereo Chile 4 - MP3 192kb/s, http://198.204.228.202:8030/flac, mp3, 5

Just out of curiosity, are you saying the Ogg/FLAC streams RP provide are lossy? I was under the impression that they were regular lossless 16/44.1.

I probably typed too fast.

For gen 2 devices, Naim provides a lossless OggFlac stream for their stations (and others). Unfortunately, this is not available for gen 1 devices. Gen 1 devices have to do it with a lossy format as listed here: Help Centre

What I did, is putting a proxy in the Cloud that connects to the FLAC streams and transforms it to a WAV format, so lossless, to provide Gen 1 devices with lossless audio quality.

Hello Kurt,
in my country we have Hi On Line Radio,it’s a hobby of the importer from Accuphse.They stream also in flac.
For streamers the url is http://mscp2.live-streams.nl:8100/flac.flac
What would be the url for my n272?

Just add http://158.101.168.33:9000/hi_on_line_radio in vTuner. I added the station to the list. This should work.

Kurt, you are genius.It works.:+1:

Thanks for your efforts, Kurt, these iRadio stations sound pretty good on my 272 and I haven’t noticed a buffer in a while.

Hello Kurt,
everything works and sounds very well.I have another question,isn’t it possible to add the URL logo?

Hi,
You can do this in vTuner when you enter the station information.

Ah.Ok!
And where can I find that information for all these Radio stations.

I looked after a logo via Google, copied the logo URL and pasted in the “Logo” field in vTuner. Some stations (Naim) provide links to logo’s as well.

No idea why there’s sometimes more latency than at other moments. Let’s not forget I run this on a free Cloud environment from Oracle. As a result, I don’t get guaranteed performance (which makes sense).

For the moment I’ve little time as we’re just into a new fiscal year, with a “little” work to do. :slight_smile:

As I’ve already a Cloud environment in Frankfurt (where you all connect to), I can’t get a 2nd one. But… My wife hasn’t one yet. :slight_smile:
As a test, I would like to set-up one in Phoenix. I guess, that’s somewhat closer for you? :slight_smile:

Just give me some time.

Yeah, I’m in Scottsdale so that’s pretty close. Take your time, we’re good. :smiley:

Have it up and running in Phoenix now. Try 129.146.133.23 as IP address; rest of the URL remains the same.

Please let me know how it works.

I tried it out and could not get it to work for buffering so much. The old ip was buffering bad too. Not sure what’s going on. Internet is fine for me. It’s a Sunday afternoon here in the states. My minimserver work around still works great at least. Knocks on wood.

That’s strange. I tested it from Belgium with some Naim stations.
Antwerp > Phoenix > Netherlands > Phoenix > Antwerp. This still works fine without buffering.
However, when I work with the compute node in Phoenix, I can notice the network latency. See below ping statistics for both Phoenix (1) and Frankfurt (2)

I checked the log files, but haven’t seen any connection attempt from Scottsdale… Can you try again?

The RP main mix is working.
http://129.146.133.23:9000/radio_paradise_main

The RP mellow mix is working.
http://129.146.133.23:9000/radio_paradise_mellow

The RP World mix isn’t working.
http://129.146.133.23:9000/radio_paradise_world

I think world and eclectic are the same thing so perhaps I don’t have the correct address.
