Ok thanks will try that.

@drago is very quiet. I wonder does he have his 300DR now!

We are waiting…

See his post in another thread. He is on the start to return it .

He’s going to have a 300DR for a week, then upgrade to a 500DR. And I thought we were bad,…

You are all bad - posting here behind my back
What happened to me - a few years ago I was nearly shy with spending money on naim and now I got the „Mr upgrade“ title.

There has been some updates - but all of them were really good deals. If it knocks in my door, I am not hesitating …
606 and 552 came up quick - but never before … so be it

The Phonosophie TT looks great! At various times, I have thought of trying to get my hands on one, but they seem very difficult to track down, other than to a shop in Winchester which used to sell them.

I understand that the late Julian Vereker had (at least) one, and that he produced an Armageddon-variant power supply, which I think was called (I think) the P3PS.

(Not that I’m slumming it with two LP12/ARO combos!)

Yes p3ps it is. This one i have, But aro is Hard to get. If so it is the julian Deck.

Much to my surprise, I was able to buy an ‘as new’ ARO recently, which had been refurbished and rewired by Linn, not Naim.

There are three AROs for sale on eBay at present, listed at £1,450, £1,595 and £1,685.

You may feel that it’s worth taking a chance, assuming that you know (or have a dealer who knows) how to set it up properly.

Yes - they are all in the uk and I am in Germany… a bit difficult with the shipping and customs

I imagine that the postage or courier costs would be minimal, given the value (which is priceless, in my view) of an ARO.

I have no idea what Customs duty would be for a quite old, second hand hi-fi item.

I am very sure, though, that you will have a very long wait, if you’re expecting an ARO to turn up for sale on the second hand market in Germany. Remember that fewer than 1,500 AROs were ever built by Naim in the first place.

I think that your biggest problem is likely to be finding someone in Germany to set up the ARO in your turntable properly.
