nDAC digital input interface lights

I’m using the nDAC in my system and I’m able to playback through all of the different digital inputs, all are functional. However when the music is playing only the SYNC light illuminates none of the corresponding 1,2,3,4 buttons light light up.

Are the corresponding selected input lights supposed to illuminate during playback?

Assuming that the 1,2,3,4 buttons light up temporarily when selecting an input then it sounds like the lights have been disabled.

I recently aquired an nDac and am absolutely loving what it has brought to the table compared to my old v1. A gripe I have is that there does not appear to be a way to disable the input button light or the sync/HD lights - is this the case or is there an incantation to disable the lighting? Obviously hardly the end of the world but it’s a minor gripe visually as I run with lighting disabled on the 202, and it’s usually considered good hygiene re: audio quality.

Hi ajm - Thanks for the prompt response! Yes a the lights do function temporarily when selected so fortunately it’s not a malfunction. Taking a cue from you I’ll leave them off.
