Ndx 2

It is a handsome piece of audio equipment!

It’s fantastic. Just be prepared for a new level of refinement with the NDX2/SN3 combination.

…and when you add an XPSDR it beats the NDS.

Oops.

@Stephen_Tate Did you receive your Ndx2 yet? You’ve been awfully quiet lately lol.

Hi marcusman,

I have spoken to another dealer today for a possible deal. Still waiting to hear back from them… Thanks.

Have you received the Catsnake ?

Yes. I have the CatSnake installed since this morning. :slightly_smiling_face:

Are you going to demo it first before doing a deal?

Yes i’ll be doing both.

No worries. Just looking forward to your enjoyment of the NDX2

I have been trying out some welsh blue slate under my Neat’s. Not sure whether i’m liking the effect or not. Also testing out a new CatSnake Ethernet cable. Again, i’m not sure if i like it’s effect. Still very early days.

Don’t worry - i’ll soon let you’ll know when a NDX 2 has landed! :sunglasses:

Ok, a little update:

I have received an answer today for a part-exchange deal, of which i have reluctantly declined. I have been offered a much more attractive offer on a trade in, from a dealer that is much further a field. I shall try to take that route instead and will need a little more time to bring that into fruition. Mainly because of work commitments. Either way, i should have a NDX 2 here in the near future. Thanks.

I took the classic position that the source should come first , but was lucky to get a NDX 2 (6 months old) from a dealer with full warranty for just a smidge over £3k. Result. I also picked up a used XPS Dr for a smidge over £2k. So pleased as I can now look forward to the upgrade path knowing it’s a firm foundation. Is it good…you betcha! Don’t hesitate.

I’ve gotta admit a XPSDR is on my list as well, hearing how transformational it is from you and @seakayaker among others. I just need to let things run-in first. Too many upgrades recently.

I added my XPS DR six months after I placed my NDX 2 into my system. The home demo unit I was given was well broken in and from the moment I installed it and played the first track it caught my attention. So waiting for your box to settle in and feeling comfortable and familiar with the sound is the perfect place to be before bring the XPS DR home for a demo.

Just be sure you have the required cash ready to hand over before you demo, you will want one.

JMHO - YMMV

That’s what I’m afraid of to be honest.

That’s frustrating, have you had good service from your local dealer? It’s seems a pity to have to go further afield?
