Use mesh WiFi to put an access point with ports near the NDX.
That’s what I do, well sort of… a mixture of homeplugs and wireless access points all set to the same SSDID. Seems to work well and not one issue with streaming from the NDX… so far…
That’s not actually a mesh system as the in a mesh system all the APs talk to each other cooperatively.

Yeah. It’s consists of an Asus RT-AC68U as main router and four old wireless routers (TP-Link, Netgear and Plusnet wireless routers, most broken: why is it the ADSL section that always breaks?). A mesh system would mean buying four more routers. 
And it does work surprisingly well so I’m going for the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ option.
