Our dealer offered us a used 552 when we bought 252. We pondered and said no because of the inevitable desire to sink further funds into 555/500 to complement… with new speakers we’d have been digging a 50k sized hole.

The 552 would have been enough without adding any further upgrades
It was the very best of Naim but only bettered by the Statement preamp
We’ll never know 
It was rather old being non DR and naim had just announced no more DR upgrades. Combined with the inevitable longing to upgrade source, power amp and speakers it just didn’t land.

I think the new subject line for this should be “Is the NDX2/XPSDR a good match for the 252?”
I’m really quite enjoying the bare NDX2 with the 252.
