Ok great. Regarding timing you could use better isolation for the Tempus and its power supply (put separately not above each other). In the Greek Audio review he is explicitly mentioning improvements via isolation.
I went nearly the exact same route as you did! Was such a revelation what Muon Pro and Tempus were doing in an already sophisticated setup. You might also try a better power cord for the Tempus - it really benefits.
I see their new Origin Router PSU has hit their website.
It’s great to see them pushing the boundaries of Network systems and squeezing as much out of (what is a relatively new format in the scheme of hifi things).
The 60 return policy is really a no brainer to see if it’s just snake oil or the real deal.
They certainly didn’t get my Muon 2 USB cable back, it’s a bloody amazing cable for not silly money compared to what other high end cable makers are selling some USB cables for.
My Muon Pro Streaming System is arriving from the UK on Wed. and I’m excited to see what all the fuss is about with it.
I just got a basic D-Link DGS-105 5 port switch and an iFi iPower X PSU to go with as I’m out of budget for a high end switch (for now anyway !)
Rob said it’s one of the true hifi Ethernet switch bargains for a very modest cost and he’s right, it has reduced the “noticeable edginess” that I’ve got streaming direct from my internet router to my K41.
You will be excited about the Muon Pro streaming system - I am happy for you, when you experience all your songs in a new way and can’t stop listening
It’s interesting you are mentioning the Muon2 USB cable which some of my friends said is outperforming their other high end cables. So I went for the Muon2 AES/EBU and I was blown away how much better it was than my previous Audioquest Diamond.
As mentioned this was taken from a prototype - things have developed a lot further since then.
If it’s Ethernet filters or audiophile switch, Network Acoustics has put a lot of R&D into that over the last couple of years. They developed their own power supply for the Tempis which plays a major part in the overall performance.
I mean, they could easily kill all speculations about it just being two ring ferrites as the proto and their current design is something totally different. But they don’t?
Not sure why it matters how simple or complex the internals are. R&D does not mean you end up with a complex solution all the time. All that matters is the music, and I have found NA products excellent in that regard.
Exactly - they have a 60 days try for free offer, so everyone can judge on their own.
@DiggyGun Well often posting pictures about internals is also just marketing. So do you know how a device works when seeing such a picture from Stack Audio etc. - I guess not.
And being able to judge what the sound performance will be like just by seeing a shot of the internals.
Do you by intention misinterpret my comments? When I stated they put a lot into R&D over the years (like their own power supply for the Tempus - btw which this thread is about ) and also since their prototype picture of the ENO there has been further evolutions like Muon Pro or ENO which perform massively better, so they were able to achieve a considerable improvement by every generation they released.
