Ok having owned this for approaching a couple of weeks I am genuinely stunned.
It totally gels with my long term musical partners the Guru Q10’s, the ones in question being Mk1’s.
However, more than that, whether it’s the LAPC, speaker calibration circuits or just luck, this is stupid good.
The amp features a stand by mode after about 20 mins inactivity. This is configurable but I’ve left it as is.
However , after about and hour on constant play this amp becomes totally liquid and I have no idea of when it might run out of gas on the volume.
The gurus have their blue light warning signal, now they say this isn’t about playback volume but distortion in the signal chain. I’ve always thought that was a bit of BS, but I’ve never played these little groove gems louder and never seen the light come on, this combi sings.
I was sceptical, I hoped it would be decent, it’s damned amazing.
