But on a slightly more serious note, you got yourself a rather fine system, and the last shirt has no pockets. And assuming you are now not living on beans and toast, you made a good choice I think to increase your enjoyment in retirement. Well done!

New Dawn would suggest a different approach/starting over, so perhaps fewer boxes, so decent integrated or 272 replacement.

While many are looking for a 272 replacement, I would hope not as the teaser shows new white logo illumination found on statement etc, that would be a departure from Classic green logo.
I consider my SN2 a very decent integrated amplifier, but I agree for those trying to keep the system simple it would be interesting to see a I/A with a more premium preamp such as those found in 282 or 252. Sure separate amp and preamp with PS are hard to beat, but cool idea for a 2 box system.
I know this is not whats coming, but I would like to see a PS positioned between XPS DR and 555 PS DR, so 555 transformer with single output designed so that NDX2 can utilise full PS features.

Yep, I’ve set my alarm for 4.15am.
My dealer implied yesterday that it was a high definition television and audio set designed and produced on Salisbury specifications by a prominent manufacturer in The Netherlands.
I reckon if any of us are in the Pub this evening and say we are going home to get to bed early as we have to be up at 4.00 AM for the launch of a new Hi-Fi product we’d get very funny looks!
