The Forum will be read-only from 4.30pm BST today (Sunday) until 6am on Monday.
This of course, allows all Forum members 90 minutes after the launch time to digest the news, and prepare questions. I am sure naim will be ready with all the answers.

According to my reckoning it is 13 and a half hours of read-only access, as it is 4.30 pm to 6 am. A good example of why using the 24-hour clock makes things much clearer.
The launch is at 4:30am BST, and the Forum reopens at 6:00am = 90 minutes.
@Richard.Dane’s announcement says 4.30 pm Sunday, not 4.30 am Monday, hence my interpretation of what is written. Whether it is a typo or a longer lock down the forum time will tell I guess. I did think initially like you, it was for 90 mins but then read it again and wondered.

That’s spookily similar to how the Linn Forum disappeared. A few days before the announcement of the Selekt range of streamer/amps, the Linn Forum was replaced by a holding page with a message from Gilad Tiefenbrun to say they didn’t want forum speculation to spoil the excitement of a global announcement of a major new product. The forum never came back.
The product launch will be on various platforms at 4.30am, however at that time the forum will be still closed until 6.00am. So we won’t be able to discuss it for 90 minutes.

If Richard’s announcement had said 4.30 am I would agree, it is the 4.30 pm that he wrote that has made me question this.

Taking the Forum down is unavoidable really. Loads of posts have already been removed and if the Forum were to remain active the moderators would need to watch it all night so they could zap posts. This means that they can sleep soundly and when the Forum starts up at 6am the secret will be out and no zapping required.
