Updated my NDX2 and in the process of putting new stations on my ATOM HE. I have noticed Tick Tock radio stations have gone, or I can’t find them.
Hi @dkremer
Added - the Israel view needs some love and attention, as a bit messy compared to various other countries.
Best
Steve
Ah ok, I understand but I thought the search would be from the Naim app not the NDS itself, so device independent. Clearly not the case.
So, on an NDS to discover a genre station, we have to search through all the countries independently.
Please add CRMK radio station to your (excellent) Internet radio database.
Thx for you’re explanation. I will correct my presets.
Thanks! Found it.
Thanks Naim for the update … all went well except for my search for my RS232 cable. It has been mislaid since the last update (new one ordered). I dusted off an old MacMini it was slow but reliable.
I like the look of the iRadio screen. No complaints now time to explore. Thanks again - much appreciated.
Hi @Super,
We have (hopefully) all the Tick Tock Stations under the brand Tick Tock Radio in United Arab Emirates:
Example:
Note - some radio directories confuse this with Tik Tok (Mr Trumps fav) and have them categorized under China. It’s actually the same company that does the “Exclusive” brand of stations.

That’s great. Thanks Steve.
Would it be possible to amend the Naim App so that the search function works across the entire database at the top level?
For example, I recently requested the addition of Klassik Radio Movie Heroes and was advised that it was already on the database under International/Europe/Germany/Brands/Klassik Radio. Prior to my request, I had already looked in the Germany section but under Genre/Soundtracks, where there were a number of Klassik Radio stations but not Klassik Radio Movie Heroes.
It seems to me to be counter-intuitive to have to know in what country an Internet Radio station is registered and then have to hunt through various categories to find it. If you know the name of a station a top-level search should show it if it’s on the database.
I understand that Klassik Radio Movie Heroes may not have been allocated a Soundtracks tag but knowing the name of the station it should have been easier to find.
Bringing the Inernet Radio Station support in-house and the vast improvement in the stability of the Naim App have given me so much more confidence in the longevity of my Naim product, as has the high level of support from this forum and the sterling efforts of the Naim team. I feel that with a little tweaking it could be even better
Regards,
Alan.
I realize that Naim is smack in the middle of this huge and challenging change over of the Vtuner and updating the iRadio section. I have downloaded the software updates for my legacy Mu-So and have a couple of suggestions when the dust clears that would make life a bit easier
1- allow for mapping of presets onto multiple devices. Having 3 Muso’s in the house makes very tedious work of inputting many radio preset, especially, in the same order
2- allow sorting of stations in the preset list. It would be nice to move stations around to group them or move them in and out of the top 5 positions
3- allow browsing of stations and adding presets without interrupting what is currently playing.
Thanks
Hi Steve,
Is it possible to add “Beyond The Beat Generation”
Thanks Dave
Hi @MrCrumbly
As the product does the communications to the radio service, it needs the product updating to handle the concept of search and then the apps UI wise get updated to use those product side API’s.
Regarding on-going functional improvements on these older products - it’s not really financial viable - if we’re working on legacy products, then we’re not working on new products that keep the company running, It was technically very painful as technology (and engineers who can do it) have moved on and it’s genuinely hard to make these old Bridgeco processors work with 2025 standards. This latest software update was 8 months of engineering so a significant investment by the group to ensure customer units keep on running.
With regards
Steve
I reported a problem with the HLS format for Naim Unitilite. I still have breaks when listening to Polish public stations such as „trojka” and „dwojka” broadcast in this format.
Today I checked. BBC 1 -4 and the broadcast takes place without interruptions. So this is not a problem on the side of my device.
Hi Steve,
Please could you add Classical Radio - John Williams (Guitarist) coming out of UAE. I find most of the Classical Radio stations, but not this one. Thank you.
As this question was similar to mine, can I suggest a search function on the Naim website under support?
The website search could point us to where the station is in the hierarchy (if it’s included). We would then know what’re to look on the app.
Fully appreciate there is a difference in maintaining an old product functionality and giving it additional functions. I’m sure we all appreciate the efforts Naim have made in resolving this and returning the lost radio functionality to the legacy products and a that adding improvement in search at product level is not really practical, but adding a website feature may not be so onerous and would make searching on legacy products a little more practical.
Just a thought.
Ciao, please should be possible check a station here in Italy called DiscoRadio FM?
Very often it doesn’t works. After some attempts, start.
Thank you.
Marco
