New Naim Internet radio - Feedback & Requests - Part 7

Hi @n-lot

The Radio Blues in hidef section has started broadcasting again. Nothing adjusted on our side - they were just down for a while.

Hi, and thanks for superb support. I’m wondering if it would be possible to add the hidef version of a ”classical” (pun..) well known Classical 90.5 FM station which is already present(AZPM Classical 90.5 FM) but not as hidef. Link : https www hiresaudio.online/classical-90-5-fm/

Thanks in advance

Hi @ffosto

This one stopped working about 6 months ago, but thanks for pointing out that it’s back again.

Now re-added with its FLAC stream. Before we had the HLS/AAC 256kbit stream

Note - it’s in the unusual format of FLAC inside an HLS container.

It would be nice to have a Grateful Dead streaming radio option.

That is awesome news. How do I find that station on the old nd5xs?

Nevermind, found it under Genres: Rock
Thanks!

Hi all,

A few important updates made recently:

PBS 106.7FM, Australia
Naim has had a better quality stream than most directories, but they have kindly upgraded their stream again. Now upto AAC 192kbit and starting to sound reasonable,

Eco99fm, Israel
Slowly adding in all their web only streams. We now have all the MTV streams. Israel overall view is also being tidied up.

EKR, UK
EKR (aka East Kent Radio) are a network of rock centric stations. They are all now in 320kbit MP3 quality.

United Music, Italy
A playlist centric network. We’ve added about 20 more channels and more will be added

Superstereo, Chile
As of start of June they will no longer be offering their network of lossless streams for free. We’ll host their lossy streams but bitrates will be poor. Subscribers will be able to add the lossless streams back in via the Added Stations feature

Hidef lossless section
Various new ones + a few old ones return:

  • Kiss Collector, Switzerland (new)
  • Rock Star,Switzerland (new)
  • Radio WBJM, USA (new)
  • AZPM Classical 90.5 (returns)

Hi, There are a couple of radio stations I used to be able to get but now can’t. One is Reign Radio, the alternatives are available e.g Reign Radio 2 The other is The Blast.fm again alternatives like The Blast Blender are available. They were available on the i tuner on My Melco ,ast time I looked. Also Shine.fm doesn’t play on my XS2 streamer but does on my 1st generation Muso QB. Any ideas?
Regards
Paul

Hi Paul,

The full network of Reign Radio is under:
international->North America->United States->Brands->Reign Radio.

They have 4 stations in total:

TheBlast.fm

We have them, but badly catagorised. Now tidied up.
So in USA->Brands:

Re: Shine.fm

There are quite a few Shine.fm’s around the world. Are we talking this one?

Once clarified I’ll apply some encouragement on the stream to make it play.

Thanks for all this. Yes that’s the right Shine.fm

Hi @Fenderman,

Re: Shine.fm

They have injected an advert at the start of the stream, but it has broken stream at the end of the advert - this causes the playback to stop with an error (on older platform it skips bad bitstream hence recovers).

I tried it on a few other apps like iOS Receiver app (powered by Airable) and they also fail playback beyond the advert transition.

I’ll write to the station and encourage them to fix their advert stream.

Hi @Stevesky

The url for one of stations has changed, their website has the following information for internet radio listeners.

Wreckers.Radio and Cornwall Folk Radio broadcasting has moved to a new server with more capacity.

If you listen through an App or on an Internet Radio then you will need to re-tune to the new address:

http://radio.xbone.uk:8000/radio.mp3

or

https://wreckers.radio/listen

Would you be so kind as to update the Naim internet radio.
Thank you.

Hi @RogerGround

Radio entry updated to reflect new name +now uses the latest stream URL:
