My recollection is that the Ice Field Parkway was specifically created as a scenic drive and to provide access to a host of wonderful landscapes.

We first drove it back in 2000 and it’s never ceased to impress since then, despite the retreating glaciers.

Sure is a great drive. Thanks for the photos, they brought back happy holiday memories :slightly_smiling_face:. Indeed though, where in Canada is not spectacular. A beautiful country imho.

Glad you guys liked the pics! Lorro1 September is a good time to visit, the lakes are still open(and blue!) and you avoid the peak tourist season when it’s super busy. Here’s one more photo I managed to grab with my DSLR when we pulled over to have a lunch along the way. Looks healthy!
