Clematis

Camellia tree

It has been a lovely winter/early spring with the Clematis and Camellia blooming in the garden.

Camellias seem to flower at different times of the year. We have some flowering now in early autumn, with others that flower in winter and last into spring.

Looks lovely. My daughter-in-law in Woodinville has been sending me photos of my grandson playing in the snow!

I’m pretty sure your daughter-in-law saw much more snow in Woodinville then we did in Seattle. It is always nice to get a few days of snow with some freezing weather here. My daugher back in the Northeast was buried last week with 16" of snow plus freezing weather and lost power for 16 hours. One of the reasons I stayed on in Seattle after retiring… I enjoy the moderate flucuation in weather year round with rare occasions of extreme cold or hot weather. …so far at least.

Here is Zach on the deck a couple of days ago. It’s his first experience of that white stuff.

Edit: This is my grandson, who lives in Woodinville, WA – about 27 miles outside of Seattle.

The Nepo child just sent some photos from his band’s Brighton gig. They had a fellow student with a burgeoning interest in gig photography follow them and I think it’s paid off very well.
