Nice Photos

That’s about it for me. Children came first so the Billingham bag, two Nikon bodies, 4+ lenses, filters, Weston meter, Benbo tripod were swopped for an Olympus Trip and I admit that when digital came along the excessive menus meant I opted for point and push.

I agree - let Apple take the strain. Sure, the images won’t be up to the standard we regularly see from @IanF , @GraemeH or @Jamiewednesday , but they’re good enough for us mortals.

Thanks though.

A number of mine posted, e.g. our spiky hedgehog visitor, the Marilyn Monroe ones and the Harvard/Blenheim at rest above, are phone shots, that’ll be the camera I have on me. Which makes them very handy.

Of course just no way they’re able to capture complex, hi-speed shots. But then they’re not supposed to..!

A most enjoyable drive through Central Otago yesterday, pics taken from a moving car on an inexpensive phone. Thank goodness for a good heater in the car, -9c outside.

Blimey, bit different from the 35 degrees heat we’ve been getting here! A bag of snow would have been welcome in the last week or two.

I don’t know what your new apartment is like, but the view from the old one is amazing!

These two pictures are Bideford and were taken last Saturday evening with my Samsung S20 FE ‘phone.

Someone said once that the best camera is the one you have available, and of course nearly everyone has their ‘phone with them when they are out and about.
