It’s a bit liking watching the England football team. Mostly boring with the occasional flash of brilliance. Can’t turn it off just in case I miss the brilliant bits.

The “parade” of athletes is low on spectacle, high on rain, and as far as the pre-filmed interludes are concerned, it’s all a bit meh.

Watching on BBC freesat.
Can hear the commentary ok but any music in the background hardly audible.
Disappointing.
A few minutes ago was a French heavy metal band and they were really quiet.
Ditto for the habenerra from carmen.
A pity about the sound balance.

The incredibly annoying and partisan Canadian commentating has defeated me. I’ve turned the sound off, and am listening to a podcast instead.
We’re lucky we have a local commentators there.
Here in the U.K. the BBC commentary team haven’t stopped talking since the start. Remarkable. I have to say I stopped listening to whatever they are saying yonks ago.
Marie Antoinette singing without a head was a highlight…
