Speakers are made by? Lockwood?
Then they must have shut down quite recently, or?
I have no idea, sorry. Just big speakers on wheels. There’s no labels or logos and I am not sufficiently knowledgeable.
OK, it’s been a long day at the wedding, but looking at the history they would appear to be Tannoy Super Red speakers!
Okay, one of my favorite Swedish artists recorded an album there in 2001, must have been one of the last ones before they closed then. Such a shame.
Those who are interested will enjoy looking through the ‘gold’ discs in the hallway or listening to their music through the Tannoy Super Red speakers from the original studio control room in the lounge.
Which band @Bjorn ?
Of course they used Tannoy in that studio control room
That’s a long list of great artists that have recorded albums there. Wow.
Lars Winnerbäck, the album Singel.
Spoke to the guys at Lockwood when visiting the Bristol Hifi show, amazing history for such a small company and to be honest their speakers sounded pretty special as well I could have easily lived with a pair apart from the size and unfortunately the price but guessing those big tannoys would sound awesome in that room, bit of British musical heritage.
I like that rack, what make is it?
Looks like a Solid Steel?
Solid Steel S2-5
Thanks, nice looking rack. I could really do with a 5 tier rack. Will take a look on their website.
Apparently this will be my listening position for a few months, hadn’t had the opportunity to listen much over past few weeks. It’s always refreshing to hear a full set of Naim boxes.
Now that’s a casual look!!
I’m confined to barracks
Oh dear Pete, hope all is well with you soon young man!!
All the best, mate.
That looks very similar to my daywear of choice since I retired four years ago
Very fetching garb. Take care during your recovery / rehab.
I’m probably going to live in my pjs for a few months.
