Aargh! We’ve got aliens.
Is that a house band of B.B. King’s bar on Beale Street?
I managed to get tickets for B.B. King’s 67th (?) birthday party while he was still alive.
He played brilliantly that night and I talked to Albert King at the bar.
I’d be putting some tape over them leds!!
I quite like the glow. As they’re at the back, they’re not directed straight at you.
Thought your next pic was related
Think there’s quite a lot of info on the Nait 50 thread for diy solutions to LEDs (if people want to dull them a bit )
With the lights on you don’t see them and they are actually very dim. The photo was done with all the lights off, other than a bit from the other room, on a two second exposure. I just thought it was a fun photo.
Does the PMC green lighting improve the sound quality, as the Jimmy Hughes (Hi-Fi Answers) modification with a green felt tipped pen used on CD’s?
Ah, the green pen. I never tried it, but some swore by it.
I swore, on the waste of money purchasing the green pen…you live and learn.
It must be nearly 50 years since I was last at LCR! Happy days.
I never bought into the green pen malarkey. It was a thing when I worked at the hi-fi shop where I found out about Naim.
Are you sure about the PMC amplification…disguised Naim amps in a PMC box ?
Lovely! Now I definitely think I have one box too many! The playful poltergeists add a nice touch too!
And ok, since we are very near perfection … there is possibly the small matter of the radiator cover… could be even from some hifi inspired material! (hope ok, nothing more than a friendly suggestion!)
How would you sum up the sound signature of those speakers in a few words?
Maybe Focal have got some left over felt from their new Diva Utopia speakers.
DG…
Please see my reply to frenchrooster under the “What was the last gear you bought” thread.
yes, the house band on Beale. Vocalists terrific as well.
Met no one of note there. but in Chicago once, stood at the bar with Buddy Guy in his namesake club.
Shadows and Light = brilliant album!
